Family/Parent/Grandparent Support & Education
Services include consultation on pregnancy options,
compassionate counseling, and confidential
education on sexually transmitted diseases, clothing
closet, parenting classes, baby items, and pre‐natal
education and childbirth classes
Determines eligibility for State and Medicaid Waiver
funded programs and provides services for persons
with developmental disabilities in the Pueblo
County service area. Services include infant/toddler
program, early intervention, child and family
support, adult services, and employment.
CASA advocates for abused and neglected children
by providing a voice in the courts and in the
community through trained volunteers.
Children in the Middle is a parenting education
program for divorcing and divorced parents offered
by Colorado State University Extension.
EPIC Pueblo has identified School Readiness as the
most important early childhood issue facing Pueblo
County. EPIC Pueblo's goal: Send every child to
Kindergarten healthy and ready to learn with over
3000 words in his/her vocabulary.

Nurse‐Family Partnership intervenes with a
breakthrough solution: providing low‐income, firsttime
parents with a relationship they can count on.
A trusted, respected, and compassionate public
health nurse visits the mom from pregnancy until
the baby turns two years old.

Classes are offered in childbirth, breastfeeding,
parenthood and more, to help parents prepare for
the arrival of their new baby.
Provides a safe haven for families with a history of
domestic violence and offers visitation and
exchange center for families.

Pueblo Child Advocacy Center coordinates a
comprehensive, multi‐disciplinary response to child
abuse/sexual assault on children reports to meet
the needs of child victims and their families. They
provide a warm nurturing environment in which
criminal investigations, medical exams, crisis
intervention, victim’s assistance, treatment and
court preparations can be provided.
