Youth Organizations/Services
Youth ages 5‐19 years old can participate
in more than 50 program areas through 4‐H.
Pueblo Youth Naturally (PYN) introduces middle school youth to environmental concepts and natural resource careers. Also offered are Teen Nutrition Classes which include food demonstrations, fun hands‐on activities, and quick and easy recipes.
Youth outreach efforts include prevention/ education programs on theft, weapons, gangs, character development, choices and decision making.
The Arts Center provides numerous classes for people from ages 3 to age 101, from ballet to ceramics, foreign language, art, guitar and more. Scholarships are available. 12‐month memberships are available that include both the Buell Children's Museum and Art Galleries year around.

Pueblo Youth Project (Information on Abstinence)
The Pueblo Police Activities League (PPAL) offers free recreation, education and leisure activities to youth ages 5 to 18. Youth are exposed to: Football, Lacrosse, youth leadership classes, mentoring and homework assistance.
The Y’s Teen Center provides great opportunities to make new friends, in a safe environment. Teen programs include G.I.R.L.S Night, Homework Zone, Vertical Teens and much more.

East Side Clubhouse
The LULAC National Educational Service Center and Educational Development Center deliver high quality, evidence‐based programming for eligible youth ages 11 ½ to 13 years of age and their parents/guardians. Workshops are offered after school or on weekends and are related to supporting good health and preventing unwanted pregnancy and health problems. The program is free to participants who are Latino/Hispanic, will be in the Pueblo area for the next 18 months AND agree to complete required authorization forms for youth and complete a survey. LNESC also provides basic computer training and use of computer lab during office hours.
Providing opportunities for people to learn about
and connect with Nature. We have camps to fill a
variety interests…from girls or boys only camps,
survival skills, wilderness backpacking, day camps in
the park and more.

Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. Upward Bound
serves high school students from low‐income families and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree.
